During the past year, the weather had a significant influence on our production. Due to an exceptionally long rainy season in India and a seemingly never-ending period of frost in the Netherlands, we were occasionally not able to meet the requirements of our customers completely. And that peeks our pride, which is why we are doubling the capacity of our production location in Boekel. In addition, we are considerably expanding the possibilities of producing and storing cocopeat indoors, so that we will be better able to attune the specific weight of the cocopeat to the needs of our customers.
Investments in India
Moreover, we have made investments in India, with regard to both the capacity and the storage space. For example, we have expanded from eight locations to ten locations, with the new production locations in undeveloped areas, which also provides a boost for local employment. Of course, all the expansions have been integrated in a sustainable way, exactly as befits an organization bearing the RHP label.
