Coco-chips as a substitute for Bark

Now that the production of pine bark from France and Portugal is under pressure, more and more potting soil producers change from bark to Coco-chips as an additive to improve drainage and air porosity in their potting soil.

Coco-chips is very homogeneously to mix in the potting soil.

Because Dutch Plantin takes care for a very stabile Coco-chips which does not break down fast (as this is an â??agedâ?? material), you can count on a higher air porosity, better drainage and also a better capillarity in the potting soil.

This is very much appreciated for indoor and especially outdoor cultures.
