De wereld beter maken. Bij Dutch Plantin zijn we ons ervan bewust dat dat niet alleen zit in het bevorderen van de toepassing van duurzame kokosproducten. In India, waar onze belangrijkste productielocatie is gevestigd, ondersteunen we ook initiatieven die het leven van de zwakste groepen in de samenleving beter of makkelijker maken.<\/p>\n

Helpende handen in een land waar goede zorg niet vanzelfsprekend is<\/h2>\n

Jaren geleden al maakte Dutch Plantin kennis met Udavum Karangal (Helpende Handen). Deze stichting is net als onze productiefabriek gevestigd in Coimbatore in India. In een land waar goede gezondheidszorg lang niet voor iedereen vanzelfsprekend is, komt deze organisatie op voor de zwakste groepen in de samenleving: weeskinderen, dakloze ouderen en arme moeders en hun kinderen. Met onze laatste donatie van \u20ac 4.500 kon de stichting dit jaar de bouw van het nieuwe ziekenhuis, het Community Health Care Centre – Gayathri Hospital, voltooien. En de moeder-en-kindafdeling van medische apparatuur voorzien. \u201cIt was a great moment when we celebrated the inauguration\u201d, schreef de voorzitter van de stichting, toen hij ons de foto\u2019s van de feestelijke opening mailde.<\/p>\n
