Een consortium van bedrijven test en demonstreert bij het IDC Water in Bleiswijk een concept voor emissieloos telen. Na proeven op steenwol (2014 tot 2016) en gebufferd kokossubstraat (2016) was in 2017 de beurt aan ongebufferd kokos. \u201cDe resultaten zijn beter dan verwacht\u201d, vertellen onderzoekers Erik van Os en Jan Janse. \u201cWe voorzagen eigenlijk een flinke stijging van het natriumgehalte, maar deze bleef gelukkig uit. En ook de opbrengsten waren zeker niet minder als op gebufferd substraat.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Samenvatting<\/strong>
\nVan 2014 tot en met 2017 zijn de mogelijkheden van een emissieloze teelt op verschillende substraattypen onderzocht. Het project toont aan dat zowel bij steenwol, gebufferde en ongebufferde kokos recirculeren van waterstromen mogelijk is zonder verlies van productie en productkwaliteit. Belangrijke aandachtspunten daarbij zijn een goed uitgevoerde eindeteeltstrategie, natriumarm startwater, voldoende calamiteitenopslag, frequente opname analyses en keuze voor geschikte apparatuur.<\/p>\n
