In both the Netherlands and India, Dutch Plantin produces high-quality, uniform and stable cocopeat products. In the Netherlands, largely buffered, and in India, mostly washed or (pure natural) unwashed coir products, depending upon the needs of the client. By being in compliance with international rules and following our own quality management structure, we can ensure good quality and a production structure from source to final product.<\/p>\n

With an eye for quality and sustainability<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our entire process begins with compliance with the rules drawn up by RHP and under the strict control of ECAS. Furthermore, our largest production site is IMO-certified. This Swiss certificate provides a guarantee of organic production and the completely natural processing of our coir products. Moreover, from 2015 we are able to produce coir products for USDA certified and NOP certified nurseries. This development towards more sustainable production fits perfectly into the vision of Dutch Plantin. Our aim is to deliver 100% natural coconut products that are suitable for years of successful growing.<\/p>\n

\"RHP<\/a> \"IMO-logo\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We produce all our non-buffered coconut (the washed or unwashed variants for horticulture) at the same locations. This way we guarantee quality and success to the grower.<\/p>\n

Getting better and more sustainable<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dutch Plantin requires many coconuts every year. In order to make production more sustainable, and to keep the quality high, we are very critical when we look at the origin and production method of the raw material. We also remain focussed on continuously improving our own production processes.<\/p>\n

\nIn the last few years, we have sharply reduced the amount of calcium fertilizer per m3<\/sup> we use. In both India and the Netherlands, we have taken large steps in mechanising the process. We also transport the coconut in pressed form. This means we reduce the space requirements, thereby cutting down on the number of containers we need, which leads to a subsequent reduction in our fuel consumption. All our coconut is cured by the sun and not by artificial heating (using gas heaters).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
