Geringer Fu\u00dfabdruck<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Durch die Verwendung von Kokosfasern verringern Erzeuger ihren CO2-Fu\u00dfabdruck. Denn die Kokosproduktion ist CO2-neutral. Es wird z.B. von der Sonne getrocknet und sein Versand ist bis zu sechsmal kompakter m\u00f6glich als bei anderen Substraten.<\/p>\n

Im Jahr 2020 wurden weltweit zehn Millionen m\u00b3 Kokosfasern f\u00fcr Blumenerde und Substrate verwendet. Und diese Zahl nimmt deutlich zu. Kurz gesagt, ein merkbar geringerer CO2-Fu\u00dfabdruck!<\/p>\n

Unsere Kokossubstrate werden aus den Abf\u00e4llen der Kokosnussindustrie hergestellt. N\u00e4mlich aus dem Bast von Kokosn\u00fcssen. So tragen wir seit \u00fcber 30 Jahren zur Ver\u00e4nderung bei, indem wir nachhaltig und mit CO2-neutralen Rohstoffen arbeiten.<\/p>\n

Geringerer Wasserverbrauch<\/strong><\/h5>\n

An unseren Standorten in Indien und in den Niederlanden nutzen wir die Umkehrosmose, eine Technik, anhand derer wir Wasser wiederverwenden und somit Wasser sparen. Und wir bleiben innovativ und entwickeln neue Techniken zur Kokosproduktion mit weniger Wasser.<\/p>\n

Moderne Fabriken<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Wir investieren in moderne Fabriken zur Maximierung der Nachhaltigkeit. Wir arbeiten an Wasser- und Energieeinsparung und an einer Reduzierung der Abfallstr\u00f6me. Wir nehmen auch unsere Logistik kritisch unter die Lupe.<\/p>\n

Nachhaltiger Transport<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Wir verschiffen zusammengepresste Kokosfasern \u00fcber Ozeane, Meere und Fl\u00fcsse zum n\u00e4chst gelegenen Hafen und von dort aus weiter. Also mit so wenig Stra\u00dfentransport wie m\u00f6glich. Auf diese Weise senken wir den CO2-Fu\u00dfabdruck beim Transport erheblich.<\/p>\n

Biobased Products von Wageningen University & Research<\/strong> entwickelte ein Verfahren zur Herstellung hochwertiger Platten aus Kokosnussschalen.<\/p>\n

\u201eDie Verwendung von Kokosnussschalen zur Herstellung von Kokosnussplatten hat eine Reihe von Vorteilen. Die Methode ist nachhaltig und umweltfreundlich. Das Restmaterial von den Kokosn\u00fcssen wird vollst\u00e4ndig genutzt. Es stellt eine zus\u00e4tzliche Einkommensquelle f\u00fcr Erzeuger in Entwicklungsl\u00e4ndern dar. Es ist eine gute Alternative zu Holz und tr\u00e4gt dazu bei, die Abholzung von W\u00e4ldern zu verringern. Dar\u00fcber hinaus ist die Produktion CO2-neutral<\/strong>.\u201c
